For agents, collectives, and universities

A clear path from athlete introduction to ongoing CPA support.

Help athletes connect with CPA guidance for the tax and accounting questions that come with NIL income. Anchor & Flint works with athletes and, with their authorization, coordinates with the people supporting them.

How introductions work

Four steps, with the athlete at the center

  1. Introduce the athlete

Share the website or booking link, or arrange an introduction with the athlete’s permission. Initial inquiries should not include tax returns, Social Security numbers, or other sensitive records.

  2. Discuss fit

Anchor & Flint talks with the athlete about income sources, questions, existing advisors, and the support needed. Parents or other advisors may join as appropriate and authorized.

  3. Agree on scope

If the relationship is a fit, the work, fee, and communication expectations are documented in a written engagement before services begin.

  4. Coordinate appropriately

The athlete remains the client for individual CPA advice. Information is shared with partners only with appropriate authorization and any required consent.

Roles

What we handle, and what stays with you

Agents and marketing representatives focus on deals. Attorneys handle contracts and legal questions. School compliance offices handle eligibility and NIL reporting. Anchor & Flint handles the tax and accounting side, and coordinates with each of you when the athlete authorizes it.

  • Tax and reporting perspective on deal structures, before and after signing
  • Organized records that make questions from payers or compliance offices easier to answer
  • Clear communication about what we handle and what belongs with someone else

Anchor & Flint does not provide legal, immigration, investment management, eligibility, or athlete representation services, and does not negotiate deals.

Education

Group education for your athletes

For teams, collectives, and athletic departments, the following are available for discussion. Each would be shaped around your athletes and is subject to agreed scope, capacity, and fees.

  • Introductory NIL tax and recordkeeping workshops
  • Question sessions for athletes and families
  • Practical checklists and educational resources
  • A small pilot that combines group education with individual CPA support

When another party pays

In a sponsored program, a collective, school, or other organization may pay for services while each athlete remains the client for personal tax advice. Reporting to the sponsor is limited to agreed program administration, such as attendance or participation, or to appropriately aggregated information. Individual details are shared only when the athlete authorizes it.

Discuss a team or collective program

International athletes

International athletes need individual review before taking on NIL activity. Their situations may involve international tax specialists, immigration counsel, and the school's international student office, and the immigration questions should be answered first. Anchor & Flint does not provide immigration or legal advice.

Start with one athlete or one conversation
