Privacy policy

Effective September 29, 2026

This policy explains what information Anchor & Flint collects through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to anchorandflint.com. Information you share after becoming a client is also governed by your engagement letter and by the professional and legal confidentiality obligations that apply to CPAs.

Information we collect

Information you choose to send us

When you use the contact form, we collect what you enter:

  • Your name and email address
  • Whether you are an athlete, a parent or guardian, an advisor, or someone else
  • Optional details: school and sport, where things stand with NIL income, topics you want help with, and any message you write
  • Your confirmation that you understand the form does not create a client relationship

The form is not meant for sensitive information. Please do not send Social Security numbers, bank or account numbers, tax documents, or contracts through it. If we work together, we will request what we need through a secure method.

Scheduling a conversation

If you use our scheduling link, you provide your name, email address, and preferred time on a page run by our scheduling service. We use that information only to hold and prepare for the conversation.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically receives basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. This information is used to deliver the site, keep it secure, and diagnose problems.

This website does not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, or tracking pixels, and we do not load fonts or scripts from third-party advertising networks. If that changes, we will update this policy first.

How we use information

  • To read and respond to your inquiry
  • To decide together whether working with Anchor & Flint makes sense
  • To keep a record of our communications
  • To protect the website and our inquiry process from spam and abuse

We do not sell your information, and we do not add you to a marketing email list because you contacted us.

Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers who help us run the website and communicate with you:

  • Website hosting and form processing. Our site is hosted by Netlify, which stores contact form submissions and screens them for spam on our behalf.
  • Email. Inquiry notifications and replies are handled through our email service provider.
  • Scheduling. If you book a conversation through our scheduling link, the details you enter there, such as your name, email address, and chosen time, are handled by Fantastical, the scheduling service we use.

We may also disclose information if required by law or professional regulation, or to protect our rights or the safety of others. We do not share inquiry information with agents, collectives, schools, or other advisors without your permission.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiry information for as long as needed to respond and evaluate fit. If an inquiry does not lead to an engagement, we generally delete it within 12 months. If you become a client, records are kept as required for professional and tax purposes under the terms of your engagement.

Athletes under 18

This website is intended for college athletes and the adults who support them. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you are under 18, we encourage you to involve a parent or guardian before contacting us, and a parent or guardian will generally need to be part of any engagement.

Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and access to inquiries is limited to the people who respond to them. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, which is one reason we ask you not to send sensitive information through the form.

Your choices

You can ask us to tell you what information we have from your inquiry, to correct it, or to delete it. We will respond within a reasonable time, subject to any records we are required to keep.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the effective date above.
